Self esteem is related to how we feel about ourselves and to much, much more (like our bank accounts)Boys Self Esteem: The Shocking Truth
You probably already know
that healthy self esteem A recent study released by the University of Florida (May 2007) reports that people who have high opinions of themselves as teenagers and young adults earn more money than their less confident counterparts. This study shows a clear correlation between self esteem and monetary achievement. Incredibly, the study accounts for differences in race, gender, educational level, GPA and SAT scores and child poverty levels and still found that self-esteem has a major, positive impact on one's success. What's that mean to you? It means that raising boys who have self-esteem does make a difference in many, many ways. It makes a difference socially, personally and financially! That is very cool and very powerful stuff, if you ask me. For this reason it is imperative to take daily action to help boys not only improve their self-esteem but strengthen it so that it will hold up through the many difficulties and challenges of life we all face. There are endless ways to help boys improve their self-esteem, but why not begin with one of the simplest ways... tell your son exactly what it is about him that makes him so incredible and amazing! Then make him repeat it back to you until he believes it and has a big smile on his face. It's simple. It's easy. It's effective. And, it just might help him to earn more money as an adult, too.
