Journal Writing
Techniques
Reinvent Journaling and Bring More Fun, Enjoyment & Excitement to Your
Journal
Journal writing is one of my passions! And
My love for keeping a journal never faded, but
my passion for journaling and journal writing did go
on sabbatical
for a while. Until
I discovered some new and exciting journaling
techniques.
It was during this journaling
sabbatical that I learned how I could reinvent journaling and bring the fun and
excitement and enjoyment back to it.

One day I was contemplating my lack of journal writing
and why I felt so stuck on reigniting my journal
writing. My answer --
There was little fun, joy or
creativity left in my journaling experiences AND I
was journaling solely because I "should" and because I felt obligated to do so out
of habit.
Hmmmmm... no wonder or surprise that journaling
had lost its luster and appeal.
Then, I
got a sudden and powerful
inspiration about journaling!
I
thought, "What about if I expand my definition of journal keeping and allow
full and unfettered creative
expression of myself in my own unique journaling
style!"
Whoa! That sounded fun,
and that, my friends, is how I generated some new journal keeping
techniques.
Journaling Techniques
When writing in my journal I
now use some very freeing and fun journaling techniques.
For example, I sometimes feel like free writing, other times I
write about a specific topic from my day. Still other times I
write little and simply
draw a picture (and I'm not a very talented artist,
but sometimes surprise myself!).
And, one of my favorite journaling
techniques is to
copy my favorite quotes or inspirational pictures from a website and past
them into my journal. Sometimes I add my own musings when I do this.
Sometimes I don't.
Another technique I enjoy is cutting pictures
or snippets of interest from
magazines or papers and pasting them into my journal.
This is just a tiny sample of
the new journal writing techniques I now allow myself to use in my daily journal
keeping.
The key: Express Yourself in YOUR Journal
In a Way that Feels Joyful and Right to YOU.
When you take this approach your journal writing and
journaling ideas flow abundantly and freely!
When you do you will always find vast enjoyment from your journal keeping
endeavors!
Happy journaling....
