Building healthy self-esteem is a concern for parents and teachers alike, and the key to ensuring a child feels good about herself is to take small persistent action.  Or, as I like to call it SPA.

SPA (again Small Persistent Action) is about doing something every single day to help your child build self-esteem.

This could be an informal and simple thing such as a sincere compliment, a genuine acknowledgement of a job well done, or a powerful comment about a child's special quality, trait or talent.   On the other hand, it could be a formal undertaking such as a worksheet or lesson plan.
